I doubt it's pressure switch, as these vehicles if I can remember off top of my head don't have a pressure switch only a pressure sensor which gives a digital pressure readout to ecu. As its a MK4 have you checked the basic common faults first.

If I have more than a quarter tank of fuel in the car it gets very sluggish, juddery when driving. I have to very slowly bring the revs up to gain speed or it just judders badly. If i have less than a quarter tank of fuel it drives pretty much perfectly.

Jan 11, 2018 · P.S. used Redex on my old MK3 Mondeo a few years ago and it did the same thing, screwed the filter, i cut the filter in half and the paper element was covered in red gunge, the early MK4 2.0 suffered with premature filter failure because of where it is, so close and slightly lower than the tank it always got the maximum amount of crap floating

Jan 1, 2012 · Layed the cover piece in the car and drilled 1/8" holes through the cover and just let the bit hit the floor to mark it where to drill. i then used a stepped drill bit to drill the holes for the rivet nuts. Riveted those in and the drill the holes in the cover bigger to allow the 1/4-20 bolts to slide through.
